The Best Gift is Knowledge

I’ve heard people say that love is the best gift you can give anybody but I don’t think that’s true. I believe that knowledge is a better gift. With knowledge you can improve your situation. With knowledge you know where to find the best people to help you. Knowledge helps you to stand on your own two feet and make more informed choices.

This is why whenever I can I always give some knowledge back and help people improve themselves wherever I can. This means I’m committed to running little classes here and there in therapeutic photography. It’s also why I continue to tutor Maths, Physics, and English in the evenings. Knowledge is also why when friends ask me for help I readily give it. I’ll do what I can wherever I can because I’m fully aware of how powerful knowledge can be.

I don’t know everything. There are still loads of things to learn in life. If I don’t know something I’ll readily admit it and then find someone else who can help. If we all acted in this way our society would be much better for it. Sharing knowledge goes a long way and makes the world a happier place.

No new art today. Here’s some happiness from last summer instead. This was taken on a day when I was sharing some knowledge about cameras and pictures to some disabled children and their families down on Caswell Beach. Happy days.
