For the third year in a row I’ll be showing work at the wonderful Twitter Art Exhibit. This year it is being held in the Trygve Lie Gallery in Manhattan. The gallery is a Scandanavian gallery in New York with strong links to northern Europe and particularly Norway.

Here unique postcard sized artworks from all over the world are going to be sold to benefit Foster Pride’s Handmade Program. Foster Pride has helped thousands of children in foster care through mentoring and the arts. The Handmade program encourages development of personal skills through learning a new craft. Their original crocheted goods are sold under the Handmade label in boutiques in New York and also via their Etsy shop. It’s an amazing venture and worthy of full support.

I’ve always shown more experimental pieces for the Twitter Art Exhibit. A one off piece for charity is a far different situation to a body of work for a major gallery so I’m embracing my latest experimental instincts with this little painting I created. Headland is part of a process that I’m considering developing and perhaps working paint into my collages at a later date. Or maybe not… I may keep this as a separate practice.
