Who are you Dyfatty?

Today we’ve been to Dyfatty Community Centre for a look at self-portraits. This is always an interesting topic because we’re never sure what we’ll end up with. Some people will share stories privately about their histories but won’t want to talk about this with a group. Others are more open about past, present, and future hopes and ambitions.

Working out what makes us and what drives us is something that is not fixed; always in flux – adapting, adopting, and improving. The stories we tell and the choices we make all form who we are and how we would like others to see us. Photographs directed by ourselves and taken of ourselves have the power to tell every story we want. They empower us to have control of our lives and enable us to share the version of us that we want you to see.
