Fairy Doors and Wild Woods

This morning we took a look at the landscape around Melincryddan in Neath. The translation of Melincryddan is Eaglesbush Mill and this little valley is home to the site of the original old mill. There’s also traces of railways and quarries but any industry here is long gone. Now Eaglesbush is a secret little nature reserve hidden away from all but a few knowledgeable locals.

We hunted for fairy doors and thought up stories that these ancient woods could tell us. We took time and space to soak up the scenery. Just what our Mindful Melin group needed on a wet and wild Monday morning.
