Legends of Bonymaen

Given the choice most people don’t drive through Bonymaen and this little corner of Swansea is often forgotten in favour of more picturesque parts of the city. To us, Wednesday mornings in June are to be filled with tales and legends of Bonymaen as part of our Camera Confidence course.

This morning our participants showed Bonymaen in the best way possible. We looked for things that inspired us and made us happy. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a flower, a log, a scrap of rubbish, or the infamous three legged dog of Bonymaen, there is always something that can make you smile.

Gaining confidence is all about looking at things in a different perspective. The ordinary needs to look interesting, and anything new and scary needs to feel like something you can tackle. Today’s group succeeded in making Bonymaen look like a gem of a tourist destination without any previous photographic experience! If that doesn’t fill our participants with hope, confidence, and happiness I don’t know what will!
