I’m having to rebuild this piece. The Bitmac is behaving in interesting ways and is very much temperature dependent. Although it is sticky it only sticks to itself. I think it works with roads because of a fine layer of dirt on the top and the compacting received from road rollers and traffic. I want this to set as a relatively thin layer and in a wooden frame so the bonding simply isn’t there.
I’ve removed the Bitmac and am attempting to glue in place some aggregate so that there is a bonding surface. This is an amazing learning curve to be on. I really hope I can manage to get this to work and hold up.
